God Cares About our Virtue?

Uncategorized

30 Jan

Read 2 Peter 1:5-11 Would someone describe you as a virtuous, God-fearing believer? Are you aware that He’s watching over you and cares about how you live? His presence makes a difference in your life. May grace and peace be lavished on you as you grow in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord! I can pray…

What Good is Knowledge?

Read 2 Peter 1:3-15. Peter wrote these words like his last will and testament. He knew he was going to die soon and wanted all believers to know, understand, and remember what is most important about our faith: knowledge. I think it right, as long as I am in this body to stir you up by way of reminder, since…

Leaving the Last Word

Read II Peter 1:1-2 One of our dear sister disciples, La-lanie, lost her precious mother just before 2024 dawned. Words cannot soothe the loss, nor platitudes. I just hugged her close and encouraged her with God’s word. “Maranatha! Jesus is returning soon. Mother is only asleep. You will see her again and praise the Lord together.” As I drove home,…

True Grace of God

Uncategorized

18 Dec

Read Chapter 5 of 1st Peter. In this last chapter, we’re given a picture of true grace for every faithful Christian. We’ve gained the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of the true provision of God. We are in exile, but not alone. Furthermore, we are foreigners in a strange land, but not without a king. The Lord provides us with elders…

Christian, Are You Suffering?

Christian life· Reading Plan· Scripture Engagement

11 Dec

First, let us read 1 Peter 4:12-19 together. We may have been told that when we accepted Christ, that there would only be sunshine and roses. We may have even believed it, only to find our problems remained, and suffering did not disappear. But we’ve changed. We are different now, we live the “with-God” life. It is true, suffering results…

With-God Life, in Exile

Read 1st Peter 4:1-11. As we read these verses, we’re reminded of who we are: born again, redeemed, reconciled, and sanctified by the Spirit. The new life you live is imperishable, undefiled, unfading, and personal (Read 1st Peter 1 if you need a refresher). You live “with-God”! You, by God’s power, are being guarded through your faith and God is…

Terms a Child of God Needs to Know

Sacred Scripture contains words that are sent to us spiritually blessed and preserved. They’re not meant to be taken softly or lightly. God’s Word helps us understand the mind of Christ. Romans demonstrates us the foundation of our faith: It is not enough to know the gospel, it must transform us. This requires our daily fellowship with the Father, in…

Suffer?

Read 1st Peter 3:18-22. As Christians, we are not immune to suffering. For some, that may be a new revelation. But when we suffer, let us not forget who we are: chosen, destined, sanctified by the Spirit, in obedience and washed by the blood of the Lamb. Remember, your citizenship is in the kingdom of God – you are foreigners…

Do You Want to be Blessed?

Reading Plan· Scripture Engagement

20 Nov

Who wouldn’t want to inherit a blessing? Read 1st Peter 3:8-12 and see what I mean. The mark of the Christian life and our blessing shows in our relationships with our husband, our children, neighbors, those in the church, and our those who just don’t like us. Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate…

Welcome to Echoes of the Holy

Hi! My name is Christine. My friends and friends call me Chris or Chrissy.

I’m a teaching pastor with a heart for the ninety-nine who live the with-God life and move in the Holy’s echo.

This includes the community of sister-to-sister disciples. Join us for our Bible studies and fellowship.

WE BELIEVE…

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God. There is only One God, but He exists in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was born of a virgin. He is both fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead. Christ will return to the earth again. The Holy Spirit bears witness to Jesus and empowers and equips believers today for witnessing and effective service.

Keystone verse for Sister to SisterDisciples

At that time, those who feared the LORD spoke to one another. The LORD took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the LORD and had high regard for His name. “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of Armies, “My own possession on the day I am preparing. . Mal 3:16-17a CSB
