Today, we continue our journey through John’s Gospel. Last week, we learned about Christ, the Word that is, was, and always will be. He is the Light. Without light, we see nothing. Without a witness, we know nothing. John the Baptist came first as a witness to the Light. Without knowledge, the people perish. There was a man sent from…

Have you ever heard about someone who died and seemed too young to die? Did the Lord take them home for a reason or not? Good question. I found the answer in Isaiah.  “The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be…

Is God Inclusive?

This is a good question. I thought that maybe the promise of salvation for the Gentiles (non-Jews) was an Old Testament thing, but I was sorely mistaken. When I read Isaiah 56, I discovered that the heart of God is changeless. Before you read any further in this article, I suggest you read Isaiah 56 and seek God’s heart. This…

The New Testament often comments on the Old Testament, explaining how God fulfilled his promises for the Messiah. Books such as Matthew, Romans, and Hebrews contain prophecies from the Old Testament that the Son of God came to accomplish. The…

Where Are You in Relationship with God?

Keystone verse for Sister to SisterDisciples

At that time, those who feared the LORD spoke to one another. The LORD took notice and listened. So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the LORD and had high regard for His name. “They will be Mine,” says the LORD of Armies, “My own possession on the day I am preparing. .
